Rotpunkt boosts efficiency with €50m investment in new headquarters facility

German kitchen manufacturer Rotpunkt has committed over €50 million to construct new facilities at its headquarters in Bünde, Germany, aiming to improve operational efficiency and expand its product offerings. The investment will fund a new 10,000 sq ft warehousing and logistics building, scheduled for completion by the end of summer 2025. The new facility will house machines currently located in another building, enhancing the company's production capacity and operational work flow.

The highly automated warehouse is designed to increase production efficiency, with systems capable of performing tasks independently once programmed. The move aligns with Rotpunkt's sustainability goals, as the facility will feature energy-efficient processes, contributing to a climate-friendly operation.

Matt Phillips, head of UK operations at Rotpunkt, highlighted the importance of the UK market for the company, stating, 'As Great Britain is one of the largest markets in Europe, the UK holds significant importance to Rotpunkt as the number of retailers working with our diverse, high quality, and sustainable design portfolio continues to grow.'

Sven Herden, managing director of marketing & sales, emphasised the company's focus on sustainability, noting that the development project reflects Rotpunkt's ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility. The project is also a key part of Rotpunkt's long-term strategy, ahead of its centenary celebrations in 2030. The company's focus on sustainable forestry, fair working conditions, and human rights continues to be integral to its operations.
