Calma Outdoor participated in Maison&Objet 2025, held in Paris from 16 to 20 January, celebrating the event's 30th anniversary. This prestigious international fair brought together over 70,000 professionals and 2,500 companies from 62 countries. Calma showcased its latest outdoor furniture innovations in Hall 6, Stand K121, with a strong focus on sustainability, local craftsmanship, and the harmonious connection between design and nature.
A highlight of Calma's presentation was the expanded BRAVA collection, designed by Andreu Carulla. The range included the Balinese, an elegant and inviting space for relaxation that combined comfort with aesthetic appeal. The armchair and sofa offered a balance of sociability and serenity, seamlessly integrating into any environment. The ceramic-top table provided a perfect blend of elegance and durability, while the chair and armchair duo stood out for their ergonomic features and contemporary design. Completing the collection was the lounger, an exclusive addition for those seeking a personal retreat.
Calma also unveiled the LOU series by Inma Bermúdez, featuring a pouf, armchair, and sofa. These pieces came with new upholstery options, enabling endless customisation to suit various tastes and preferences. Sustainability took centre stage with rug collections such as FANG, MASIA, ARENA, and CUINA, designed by Run Studio and Andreu Carulla. These rugs were crafted from 100% recycled polypropylene, repurposed from used plastic bottles. Their vibrant textures and colours, inspired by local homes, transformed any setting into a tranquil refuge.
Paying homage to the ceramics of La Bisbal d'Empordà, Calma introduced the NORMAL lighting collection, which embodied simplicity and sophistication. The BOLET chair and stool, inspired by the delicate beauty of nature, added a touch of organic elegance. Other notable pieces included the OM Wood umbrella, which combined the warmth of iroko wood with innovative deployment mechanics, and the MACA lounger, which featured fabric crafted in the tradition of Les Toiles de Soleil, lending a unique freshness and originality to the design.
Ricard Vicens, Calma Outdoor's product manager, emphasised the brand's evolution and its commitment to delivering comprehensive, personalised solutions. He noted that the collection reflected a dedication to quality design, sustainability, and comfort. Founded in 2008 in Empordà, Calma has built its reputation on timeless, locally crafted pieces. Under the guidance of artistic director Andreu Carulla, the team continues to prioritise simplicity, comfort, and beauty in their creations.
Through its participation at Maison&Objet 2025, Calma reaffirmed its leadership in Mediterranean-inspired design. The brand demonstrated its ability to blend elegance, functionality, and eco-consciousness, creating serene and sophisticated outdoor spaces.
