This move forms part of the Inspire Everyday strategic plan, which is built on two key pillars. The first is strengthening the omnichannel business model, which involves rethinking the product offering, enhancing the customer experience, developing new growth drivers, and providing complementary services. The second pillar focuses on optimizing the operational model by simplifying the value chain and defining a globally adapted approach tailored to local store needs.
As part of the reorganization of its headquarters in France, Maisons du Monde plans to reduce 91 positions, primarily located in Paris and Nantes. The company has made it clear that the implementation of this new organizational project will prioritise voluntary departures. Additionally, the changes will include responsible measures negotiated with social partners, ensuring that each affected employee receives personalized support to secure long-term employment. This support will include funding for training, assistance with business creation or acquisition, and dedicated job search support.
Notably, no stores are affected by this project. The reorganization also aims to bring the headquarters closer to the stores, fostering a stronger connection between the central team and those on the ground. Moreover, a comprehensive overhaul of the business division will be undertaken with store staff to promote career development, improve training, and enhance performance in customer service.
The press release contains a forward-looking statement, indicating that the plans outlined may be subject to change based on various risks and uncertainties. These factors could cause actual outcomes to differ from the projections provided. The company cautioned that it does not guarantee the achievement of the forecasted results, and forward-looking statements are accurate only as of the release date, with no further updates anticipated.
The financial agenda for Maisons du Monde includes key reporting dates for 2024 and 2025, with Q4 and FY 2024 sales being reported on 4 February 2025, followed by FY 2024 results on 11 March 2025. Additional sales updates and results will be released throughout the year.
