Bolat highlighted Turkey's broader export growth, noting that the country's exports of goods and services total $375 billion, with a target of $390 billion for 2025, as outlined in the new Export Action Plan. The furniture industry, accounting for 2% of Turkey's total exports, is seen as an essential contributor to this growth.
Bolat acknowledged that Turkish products, from Turkish delight to furniture, have gained international recognition, emphasising the sector's reputation for strong production capacity, high-quality products, and innovation. He praised the Turkish furniture industry's role in consolidating Turkey's presence in global markets and commended the manufacturers who have contributed to this success.
At the IIFF, over 3,000 brands participated, with the Turkish furniture sector's ongoing focus on sustainability, design, and high-quality production aimed at expanding its global reach. Bolat also confirmed that the Ministry of Trade will continue to support exporters, with an increase in export funding, up from TL 24.7 billion in 2023 to TL 33 billion for 2024.
