Peter Terkelsen, the current CEO and owner of the company, Sackit, confirmed the changes. The new board will consist of Terkelsen, his wife Tina Nowak Terkelsen, and Rasmus Haugaard, who will serve as the new chairman. The decision reflects the company's desire for a streamlined structure without the need for extensive board involvement in day-to-day operations.
Terkelsen commented, 'We weren't unhappy with the old board, we just wanted a smaller and more informal board.' He clarified that the new chairman's role would be limited to reviewing financials, with no active participation in the company's operations.
The company, founded in 2012 and originally focused on headphones, has since expanded its product range to include speakers, lighting, and furniture. It posted a gross profit of 11.5 million kroner in 2023, although it reported a loss of 2.8 million kroner. Despite this, the company had seen profitable years before.
Founded by Kristoffer Glerup, Sackit saw a shift in ownership in 2023 after disagreements regarding strategy. Terkelsen took full ownership and has been CEO since 2021. The company, located in Aalborg, currently employs 18 people.
