The concept was first tested in 2016 in Horsens, Denmark, before being officially introduced in 2021. Following its initial success, JYSK accelerated the rollout, setting a target to upgrade all stores with the right size and location within three years. The company has now met this goal, achieving what it describes as a "great success."
According to Carsten Weinkouff, Executive Vice President of Retail Development, Customer Service, and B2B, the updated concept has 'improved the shopping experience enormously' and strengthened customer perceptions of the brand and product quality. He also noted an increase in younger customers and improved customer feedback as key indicators of success.
JYSK's investment in its store network reflects its commitment to enhancing customer experience and staying competitive in the evolving retail market.
