Following the departure of Jakob Bressendorf from the role of director, the position at the company is temporarily filled by founder Ove Fog Jørgensen. Bressendorf, who had been with the company since 2015, transitioned to VTI, a glulam manufacturer, at the start of the year.

Horn Bordplader confirmed that Jørgensen would take over as interim CEO until a permanent replacement is found. 'Jakob leaves behind a solid strategic foundation to continue working on,' said Jørgensen. 'The company is strongly equipped for the kitchen market of the future after significant investments in logistics and stone production.'
In 2023, the company reported a financial loss of DKK 12.2 million, marking the second consecutive year of negative results. However, Horn Bordplader attributes the loss to large investments, particularly in a new stone factory, which has since stabilised. The kitchen market in the Nordic region has also been affected by challenging conditions in 2023 and 2024.
Jørgensen, a well-established figure in the wood industry, has been involved in multiple successful ventures, including Denwood by Horn and Fog & Venø. Despite the financial setbacks, the company is focused on efficiency, optimisation, and business development.
