The incident occurred on 28 January at approximately 5:22 p.m. on U.S. 136, a two-lane highway located one mile east of Albany. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, a 20-year-old man was driving a 1997 Dodge 2500 while a 26-year-old man stood in the truck bed, attempting to secure a piece of furniture.
