New Ukrainian furniture factory to boost exports

A new case goods production plant is under construction in Khmelnytsky, with operations set to begin in July 2025. The $14 million facility will create 140 jobs and feature sustainable energy solutions, including a 1.1 MW solar power station, with an additional 2.8 MW under development. A gas engine unit has also been acquired to support production.

Accord Furniture Company, Ukraine's largest furniture exporter, is behind the investment. The company is currently operating at full capacity, with 70% of its case goods orders supplied to international retail chain JYSK. In 2025, JYSK increased its orders from Ukraine by one-third. At present, 96% of Accord's products are exported to the European Union. The new factory will enable expansion into the Middle East, South Asia, and South America.

To support production, another facility is being built in the Khmelnytsky region to manufacture honeycomb cardboard for furniture packaging, reducing reliance on imports. Additionally, Accord's wood panel supplier, Kronospan, recently launched a new production line in Rivne.
