VICAL successfully ended its time at Feria Hábitat València. The Valencian furniture and decoration firm, noted for its 70-year history, its artisan past and its extensive catalogue of elegant and exotic pieces, presented its new Nara collection, designed by Francesc Rifé Studio, at the 58th edition of the International Furniture and Lighting Fair. The presentation was attended by the designer, who reviewed the keys to his outstanding design.
Nara is the result of a great complicity between VICAL and Francesc Rifé's studio. A collaboration based on the deep respect of both for wood, resulting in a new family of furniture characterised by the rhythm of its parallel planes, with Rifé's own language of order and materiality.
The shelves are arranged in rhythmic vertical compositions with semicircular or straight ends. With the same language, but with a completely circular design, small independent modules complement the main structure. The seating proposals (chairs, benches, armchairs and sofas) stand out for the combination of the gentle, curved lines of the body with legs with a strong presence, marked by a subtle gesture. The dining and coffee tables complete the collection with the same narrative in oak wood, but with the option of a stone top. One of the side tables, on the other hand, is distinguished by its ingenious swivel top that opens to extend the functional space.
The collaboration between VICAL and the Catalan studio is part of VICALDESIGN, a new signature line, which had its own space at the Hábitat fair, and which is the result of a close relationship with prestigious studios and designers in order to offer unique and special pieces.
