Minotti opens a new flagship store in the medieval city of Porto, in north-western Portugal. An important new step for the company that strengthens its decade-long collaboration with local partner Smokesignals guided by the Malheiro family.
Located along Avenida da Boavista, one of the most cosmopolitan and sought-after streets in the city, Minotti Porto is located inside the award-winning Burgo Tower, one of the most iconic and cutting-edge commercial buildings in Porto. An ambitious project, conceived and designed in 2007 by the renowned Portuguese architect, Pritzker 2011, Eduardo Souto de Moura, it is distinguished by its unique architectural structure in the shape of a prism, clad in thin layers of granite combined with supporting steel profiles.
On the ground floor of the building, the new flagship store spans a display area of approximately 200 sqm, with large windows on two sides. It is divided into four distinct environments, each defined by different architectural and scenic elements that harmoniously mark the rhythm of the spaces.
Material and chromatic versatility thus becomes a distinctive feature of the design, created by Minotti Studio with great attention to detail, catching the eye and inviting visitors to step into a sophisticated, enveloping space, bathed in natural light.
Starting from the spacious open-plan area near the entrance, featuring the key pieces from the latest collection and a large, angled, multi-material fireplace—an iconic architectural element of Minotti's stylistic language—Minotti Porto unfolds in a series of elegant living, dining, outdoor, and bedroom settings, showcasing the brand's most distinctive bestsellers.
Minotti Porto thus reveals itself as an exclusive place created especially for design lovers, architects and designers: a real place of reference, inspiration and conversation where the many Minotti collections and proposals are waiting to be discovered.
