The Roset Group opens a unique design space in Montagnieu

The Roset Group, renowned for Ligne Roset, Cinna, and Ligne Roset Contract, has unveiled a new multi-purpose space in Montagnieu. This historic site, where the Roset family has been active since the 19th century, has undergone a remarkable transformation. The location aims to blend tradition with innovation, offering a fresh perspective on the company's rich heritage.

The Roset Group's origins date back to Antoine Roset, who established himself in Montagnieu producing wooden walking sticks and umbrellas. Over time, the family business evolved into furniture manufacturing, with Ligne Roset emerging as its flagship brand. Although the Montagnieu factory gradually fell into disuse after 1974, the region remains at the heart of production, with 83% of the company's furniture still manufactured in Rhône-Alpes.

The newly developed Montagnieu site offers visitors a fully immersive experience of the brand. A €3 million investment has transformed the space into a factory outlet, museum, showroom, and training centre.

The factory outlet covers 900 square metres, offering furniture and accessories with minor imperfections at discounts of up to 50%. Visitors can also explore a dedicated historical section showcasing iconic designs, including the Profil sofa by Jean Nouvel and the Astarac canopy bed by Jean-Charles de Castelbajac. A 450-square-metre showroom and exhibition area provides an inspiring setting for business clients and employees, while an outdoor space of 1,000 square metres is dedicated to garden furniture displays. Additionally, a newly established 225-square-metre training school focuses on upholstery and sewing, helping to address the industry's shortage of skilled workers.
