The previous managing director, Ralf Marohn, has stepped down, and Steffen Liebich has been appointed as his replacement. The company at the centre of this crisis, RWK & Kuhlmann Küchen GmbH, has entered a self-administration restructuring process in hopes of securing its future. Liebich, who successfully navigated the restructuring of Brigitte Küchen in October 2024, now faces the challenge of reviving RWK & Kuhlmann. The company has cited factors such as a weak construction sector, reduced demand, and ongoing economic challenges as key contributors to its insolvency.

Despite the financial strain, the company assures that its operations, including production, order-taking, and delivery logistics, will continue uninterrupted. Liebich has promised, 'All current and future deliveries will continue as planned.' The new leadership is also focused on long-term growth, planning investments to boost production efficiency, particularly in the customisation of smaller order sizes.

Liebich's previous success in turning around Brigitte Küchen positions him as a strong leader to guide RWK & Kuhlmann through this difficult period, with a focus on organisational and operational reforms to ensure stability and growth.
