A new furniture retailer has launched in Rennes, offering contemporary and accessible home solutions. The 850 m² store, which opened on 14 February, aims to enhance the customer experience by integrating digital tools, including a 3D visualisation system and, soon, a virtual reality headset for immersive interior design planning.

This latest opening marks a return to Rennes for "Story", a furniture brand founded in the city 30 years ago. Located in the "Confortland" business park in Melesse, the store is managed by Bertrand Houal, a seasoned professional with a background in sales, hospitality, and furniture retail. Houal, who previously managed a Monsieur Meuble store in Rennes, views this new venture as a "perfect complement" to his existing business.
The store's distinctive glass pyramid architecture adds to its appeal, while a dedicated team of salespeople supports customers in selecting designer collections aligned with current trends. Regular commercial offers will be introduced to attract shoppers and position the store as a key destination for modern furnishings.
Xavier Rondeau, director of the Story network, highlighted the brand's commitment to innovation, stating that 'the integration of 3D modelling and the virtual reality headset demonstrates our desire to be pioneers in our sector'. He also emphasised that the Rennes opening is a "key step" in expanding the brand's network.
