The spring edition of VAKdagen at De Woonindustrie in The Netherlands was an important first step for the French company Home Spirit on the Dutch market. Export manager David Perez looks back on the fair with satisfaction: "We received many positive reactions. At the Consumer Day in particular, we were often asked at which dealers you can find our sofas. That indicates that there is interest, and now it's a matter of finding suitable dealers."
Meanwhile, some interested parties have already signed up to sell the furniture, but Perez acknowledges that Home Spirit is still a fairly unknown brand in the Netherlands. "We are going to work hard on that in the coming period. I am very confident and certainly satisfied with our participation in the VAKdagen."

Home Spirit produces its sofas with passion and craftsmanship at its own factory in Neuville-en-Ferrain, in northern France. This complete independence guarantees quality control and flexibility, in line with the brand's high standards. The sofas are distinguished by trendy design, high-quality craftsmanship and the possibility of customisation, allowing customers to put together their ideal sofa entirely according to their wishes.
Participation in VAKdagen marks the first step in the expansion on the Dutch market. To support this growth, Home Spirit is actively seeking an agent for the Benelux. "Our furniture is already successful in other countries, and we see a lot of potential in the Netherlands. We are looking for partners who share our DNA: design, comfort and sustainable quality," says Perez.
Sustainability as a core value
Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) play an important role within Home Spirit. The brand has been using eco-friendly production methods for more than 20 years and has implemented several initiatives to reduce its ecological footprint:
- Use of PEFC-certified wood for responsible forest management
- Solvent-free adhesives for a healthier living environment
- 80% of materials and raw materials come from an 80 km radius, reducing CO₂ emissions
- Efficient waste management and recycling, in line with a circular economy
With this approach, Home Spirit aims not only to create comfortable furniture, but also to contribute to a responsible and sustainable living environment.
Future plans
Home Spirit has ambitious international growth plans. After previous successes in Europe and the United States, the brand is now focusing on further expansion, including in the Gulf States. In the Netherlands, building brand awareness and attracting dealers will be key in the coming period.
Visitors could discover Home Spirit at stand A103 during VAKdagen in Nieuwegein. "We look to the future with confidence and hope to quickly build a strong dealer network in the Netherlands," Perez concludes.
