First 'success' for the mattress association in the Smart Bedding hall

'Heimtextil is the ideal setting to further advance the dialogue on sustainability and the circular economy'

After ten years of presence at the imm cologne and good cooperation with Koelnmesse, the association had lost the urgently needed trade fair platform with the cancellation of imm 2025. Messe Frankfurt stepped in without further ado and provided the mattress association with a section of the MEHR.WERT program in the Smart Bedding hall.

The response was good, especially to the "Smart Bedding Afterwork" networking event on the Tuesday of the trade fair, to which the association had invited together with the Heimtextil team. A first industry meeting in the new year to exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere about how the sector can be further developed. Those involved agree to now work together in Frankfurt on expanding the mattress and bed systems area.

Managing Director Martin Auerbach provided information on the current state of the discussion and possible solutions for the circular economy in the mattress industry in his presentation as part of the "Econogy Talks" on the Retail Stage in Hall 12.1. 'Heimtextil is the ideal setting to further advance the dialogue on sustainability and the circular economy in our industry. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Messe Frankfurt,' said Auerbach.

A resumption of the presence in Cologne seems unlikely, as the members of the mattress association there do not have a suitable offer available to them, neither with the imm in the familiar format nor with the idd in the new format.
