These are the five bathroom trends for 2025

Svedbergs' design director Johan Körner has outlined five key bathroom trends for 2025, with an emphasis on natural materials and soft shapes to create harmonious and sustainable spaces. 'We see a clear movement towards softer forms and nature-inspired materials that create a warm and balanced atmosphere,' says Körner.

The first trend is organic shapes, where rounded items such as bathtubs and mirrors replace sharp lines, creating an inviting, timeless environment. Greenery, from small plants to large floor plants, adds life to the bathroom.

The second trend is timeless sustainability. Körner highlights the importance of long-term investments in bathroom renovations, where both functionality and aesthetics go hand in hand. An example is the "Front" shelf, available in both light and dark finishes, which suits both classic and contemporary bathrooms.

Material choices are also crucial, and the third trend revolves around earthy tones and natural materials such as stone and wood in muted colours like green, beige, and blue. These materials influence not only the room's aesthetics but also its acoustics.

The fourth trend, soft and tactile surfaces, focuses on bathtubs like Auren and Vaulen for a comfortable and inviting atmosphere, along with textiles and personal touches to create a cosy feel.

Lastly, the fifth trend is atmospheric lighting, where both spotlights and built-in light sources create shadow play and a soft ambience in the bathroom.
