A recall has been issued for a children's bean bag product sold between 1 February 2018 and 1 February 2024 after being identified as a potential suffocation hazard. The affected product, the Tree Stump Bean Bag, was sold in the UK and presents a risk due to some units still having the safety zip pull attached.

Bazaar Group Ltd, the manufacturer and retailer responsible for the product, issued the recall through its Eden trading arm. According to the Office for Product Safety and Standards, 'The product presents a risk of suffocation as some bean bags still have the safety zip pull attached. Bags with the safety zip still attached can be opened. If a young child were to open the zip and access the internal small bean filling, they may suffocate.'
The affected bean bags do not comply with the General Product Safety Regulations 2005. To mitigate the risk, the manufacturer has initiated a modification programme.
