FBD kitchen retail group sees slight drop in sales

French kitchen retail group FBD experienced a drop in sales in 2024, but nevertheless managed to outperform the overall kitchen market. For 2025, the group has ambitious growth plans, with a strong focus on international expansion.

FBD, the parent company of kitchen formulas such as Cuisine Plus, Cuisines Références, Ixina and Vanden Borre Kitchen, achieved turnover of €811 million in 2024. This represented a decline of 1.9%, while the overall kitchen market in France showed a stronger decline of 7%. These figures, reported by French business medium LSA, underline the retail group's resilience in a challenging market.

Ambitious international expansion
For 2025, FBD is counting on a growth rate of 6.5%, driven by the planned opening of 51 new shops. The main focus here is on Spain, where the retailer entered in late 2024. In addition, FBD is betting on further expansion in Costa Rica, Peru and Qatar. With this growth strategy, the group is further expanding its global presence and responding to the rising demand for high-quality kitchen concepts.

A global network under construction
Currently, FBD has 552 shops in 20 countries. Through strategic investments in new markets and a strong franchise concept, the group continues to distinguish itself in the international kitchen industry. The combination of innovative retail formulas and local market knowledge should form the basis for further growth in the coming years.
