A Croatian company known for its design furniture in select and carefully worked solid wood, Milla&Milli will participate in the Salone del Mobile.Milano 2025 with a large exhibition stand. The novelties the brand brings to the stage this year include Iris - the first chair in the company's vast production and first design created with Emmanuel Gallina, an internationally renowned designer who was selected by the company due to a strong elective affinity.
Like the flower after which it is named, Iris possesses an intrinsic natural elegance, unique and charming, concrete and ethereal, thanks to its organic and delicate lines. Inspired on the world of plants and sculpted with precious dark oak and natural oak solid wood, it is the result of a project that combines the values of design and series production with a highly artisanal approach. With its strong identity, it presents itself both as a single piece – the protagonist of contemporary spaces – and as the ideal component of a refined dining area. 'In designing it, I aimed at creating a sculptural object, with perfectly integrated organic details, where no part seemed separate from the rest', as the designer explains.
'The challenge was to focus all the energy on complex technical details in the name of a chair that can boast a harmonic and essential beauty and is at once incredibly comfortable'. In addition to its iconic value and ergonomic seat, Iris in fact offers the tactile and sensual pleasantness of its raw material, which is masterfully crafted. Imbued with a timeless appeal, simple and seductive at once, it now joins an already rich collection of design pieces that have won important international awards.
Tuesday 8th to Sunday 13th of April at Salone del Mobile.Milano: Pavilion 14 stand C40.
