A devastating fire engulfed a furniture warehouse at Dhar Market in Kumarghat on Saturday night, causing significant damage. The warehouse, owned by Neelmani Deb, was completely destroyed, resulting in an estimated loss of Rs 10 lakh.

Local residents alerted the Kumarghat fire department upon noticing the flames. Due to the intensity of the fire, additional support was requested from the Kanchanbari fire station. It took two fire engines nearly two and a half hours to bring the blaze under control.
Authorities have not yet determined the cause of the fire.
