Family-run wholesaler in Nottinghamshire set to enter administration

A Nottinghamshire-based importer and wholesaler is set to enter administration, according to reports. The company, which operates from a 10,000 sq ft warehouse near Newark, has filed for administration through law firm Shoosmiths.

Geko Products was founded in 2014 by Clare and Chris Cheetham, and supplies retailers with wholesale items such as artificial plants, furniture, trinket drawers, homewares, clocks, and giftware.

The company's latest unaudited accounts show it was carrying stock valued at £245,792 but recorded a loss of £84,620. Further details on the administration process and its impact on employees and creditors have yet to be disclosed.
