Contardi, an Italian company in the lighting design sector, expands its Baggy collection, created by designer Paola Navone. Already appreciated for its bold aesthetic and compositional freedom, Baggy now adds a new size, offering even more customisation possibilities to meet the needs of a cosmopolitan and sophisticated audience.
'Baggy is the result of an irreplaceable alchemy between our design approach and Contardi. In a very special way, and with great skill, Contardi embraced our attitude towards imperfection in design, accepting the challenge of interpreting its inherent technical essence in a lamp project with an ephemeral balance and an ironic air.' Paola Navone.
Pendant lamps Baggy by Paola Navone for Contardi
Inspired by the oversized pants from which it takes its name, Baggy represents the most experimental expression of Contardi's decorative style. With its satin polycarbonate diffuser, which recalls the irregular appearance of a crumpled paper tube, and the textile rope that adds a tactile and unexpected element, Baggy challenges the precision typically associated with the brand.
The integrated LED strips ensure uniform and functional 360° lighting, making each lamp in the collection not only a design object but also a highly performing lighting solution.
Thanks to its multiple sizes, Baggy confirms its versatility and modularity. The pendant lamp is available in a vertical version of 60 and 90 cm, and horizontal versions in two lengths (60 cm, 90 cm), with a new addition: 180 cm. The table lamp comes in three variants: small, medium, and trio. Finally, the floor version is offered in the trio configuration at 180 cm. This variety allows for the customisation of residential and contract spaces with unique and dynamic compositions.
