A jury of industry experts evaluated submissions based on the creative integration of kitchens into existing spaces, the fulfilment of customer requests, and technical detailing. The five-member jury included Katrin de Louw, Managing Director of Trendfilter, Yvonne Davy, Editor-in-Chief of Küche + Architektur, Sabine Gantzkow, Head of the Furniture Trade College (MÖFA), Prof. Dipl. Ing. Achim Hack from Wismar University of Applied Sciences, and Robert Strunz, Marketing Manager of Der Kreis.
The winning kitchen, designed by Kreativ Holz Design, was recognised for its innovative planning and seamless integration into the space. The jury highlighted the harmonious incorporation of ceiling beams as a notable handcrafted detail. Components from Schüller Küchen, Gaggenau, and Siemens were used, along with custom-made elements from the company's 600-square-metre carpentry workshop.
Guests of honour included Der Kreis founder Ernst-Martin Schaible and Maurice Schmidt, Paralympics gold medallist in sabre fencing at Paris 2024, who personally congratulated award recipients Lisa and Dominik Böhner. Schaible commended the winners, stating: 'Congratulations for a great performance that reflects your versatile skills. Thanks to your creativity and your craftsmanship, you have become our Der Kreis kitchen specialist of the year 2024/25.'
