Founded in 1998 by designer Krassimir Mandadjiev, Valinor is a family-owned business renowned for its high-quality sofas, chairs, and armchairs. The company prides itself on using premium materials that are not only durable but also easy to maintain. 'What truly sets us apart from other companies in the industry, not only in Bulgaria but globally, is our constant pursuit of innovation,' says Diana Mandadjieva. The company's core mission is to create furniture that stands the test of time, combining elegance, comfort, and functionality.

Showcasing innovation at the Bulgarian Furniture Expo
At this year's Bulgarian Furniture Expo, Valinor captivated visitors with its latest innovation, the smart multimedia sofa. 'This model combines a high-resolution LED screen with a comfortable sofa, making it ideal for large public buildings, hotel lobbies, trade fairs, or exhibition stands where spectacular, non-standard solutions are needed,' explains Mandadjieva. The product became a standout feature at the expo, drawing significant interest from attendees.
Another highlight was Valinor's new sofa model, Infinity. 'Visitors appreciated the modern design combined with perfect comfort,' says Mandadjieva. 'Many expressed their admiration for the quality and craftsmanship of our furniture, as well as the attention to detail and customisation options we offer.' Valinor's commitment to customer satisfaction has been consistently reinforced through positive feedback from returning clients, which the company considers its greatest success.

The growing demand for personalised furniture
Valinor specialises in custom-made sofas and hotel furniture, a market segment that continues to expand. 'We believe that the market will become increasingly fragmented, with two types of customers emerging – those who prioritise affordability and those who demand custom solutions,' says Mandadjieva.
To meet this demand, Valinor has refined its production processes to allow for swift customisation. 'We make a concerted effort to easily and quickly scale the dimensions of our models and fulfil orders without mistakes or delays,' she adds. The company also collaborates with architects and designers to ensure that each piece aligns with the unique branding and aesthetic needs of its clients, particularly in the hospitality sector.
Challenges and strategies for growth
Like many in the furniture industry, Valinor faces challenges such as rising raw material costs and shifting consumer preferences towards sustainable products. 'We must quickly adapt our prices while maintaining competitiveness,' says Mandadjieva. 'There is also a growing demand for eco-friendly and innovative designs.'
Valinor is addressing these challenges through investments in sustainability and innovation. 'We prioritise sourcing high-quality, sustainable materials and are committed to reducing our environmental impact through eco-friendly production processes,' she explains. The company has also built strong relationships with suppliers and continuously optimises its production methods to improve efficiency and minimise waste.
Looking towards international expansion
International expansion is a key focus for Valinor. 'We are continuously exploring opportunities in markets that demand high-quality, sustainable, and custom-designed furniture,' says Mandadjieva. The company aims to establish new distributor partnerships and increase its presence in the global market, particularly in the hospitality sector.

Prospects for Valinor
Valinor's innovative smart multimedia sofa remains a major focus for the company, as it represents the future of functional and multi-purpose furniture. 'Its unique combination of technology and comfort makes it a compelling attraction for both public spaces and exhibitions,' Mandadjieva notes.
The company is also working on an exciting collaboration with the Bulgarian magazine Nash Dom, an idea initiated by Simona Mineva, an article writer at the magazine. 'We were invited to create three products in celebration of Christo's anniversary,' she shares. Christo, the renowned Bulgarian artist, was known for his large-scale environmental works of art. 'The first prototypes on this theme will be released in about a month. So stay tuned for further updates from Valinor, we look forward to sharing what's next!'
