Lacks Furniture, a Top 100 Retailer, received the award in the category for businesses with 50 or more employees. CEO Seth Aaronson will accept the award on 17 April at the Lacks Furniture Galleria in McAllen, Texas. The award for businesses with fewer than 50 employees went to Saundra's Furniture, a third-generation family business. Owners Saundra and Genevieve Wilma will be honoured at an event on 15 April at the company's showroom in Colville, Washington.
HFA CEO Shannon Williams will present the awards, which are determined by industry nominations and a judging panel. Williams described Lacks Furniture as 'a company rooted in integrity and resilience' and praised its commitment to 'innovation, customer service, and community impact.'
Aaronson stated that the award is a testament to the "passion and commitment" of his team, crediting their "GGRIT values—Gratitude, Growth Mindset, Resilience, Integrity, and Tenacity." He also acknowledged the support of customers, vendors, and the South Texas community.
Genevieve Wilma expressed gratitude for the recognition, saying it reflected the dedication of the Saundra's Furniture team. She credited her late father's vision and values for shaping the company's success, stating that 'this achievement is for him.'
