In 2025, Swedish wallpaper brand Boråstapeter will celebrate its 120th anniversary. Founded in 1905 by Waldemar Andrén, the brand has developed into one of Sweden's favourite wallpaper manufacturers. Andrén's vision was that "all Swedes should be able to afford to create a more beautiful home using wallpaper", a mission the company pursues to this day.
To mark this anniversary, Boråstapeter has revived one of its finest patterns from the archive: a detailed Art Nouveau design full of stately poppy flowers and meandering leaves. This pattern, called 'Vallmo', combines the beauty of the Art Nouveau style with Scandinavian craftsmanship and was chosen for its timeless relevance.
Boråstapeter is known for its commitment to sustainability. All wallpaper collections are manufactured in their Swedish factory, using certified eco-friendly materials and water-based paints. The remaining material is recycled, and the paper is completely free of toxins and solvents.
