Nagano Interior offers preview of exhibition at Salone del Mobile.Milano 2025

After last year's success, Nagano Interior will be present at the 2025 edition of Salone del Mobile.Milano with a new stand in Pavillion 14 next to the leading international design brands. Specialised in high-quality wooden furniture for contemporary living, which combine aesthetics, functionality, and a constant ambition towards a lower environmental impact, the company from Asakura (Fukuoka) is inspired by the Wa philosophy (Harmony and Balance).

Each product is the result of meticulous craftsmanship and is conceived to be made-to-measure for each client in terms of size, finish, and upholstery to meet the various needs of the high-end market. An absolute novelty this year is the CASTELLO bookcase designed by Giovanni Levanti. A piece with a highly original concept - it is inspired on the name of the famous card game for children – Castello combines essential design and versatile use.

'Observing a normal foldable chair – the designer explains – I had the inspiration to overlap two chairs. A disorienting gesture, which gave me a possibility: to create a bookcase made of stackable foldable objects'.

Made with independent foldable elements, which can be used separately or in a composition by overlapping them, aligning them or mirroring them, it is easy to position against the wall or in the centre of the room. The basic version, with a single shelf, is offered in two sizes (cm 60x37xh90/cm 120x37xh90), only in red oak wood and three finishes (ON_oil finish, CG_SOBA, CB_KUROGOMA black sesame).

Designed to carry a significant weight, it is still light and elegant both when open and closed. Another star of the Milanese design event is the new version of the COUPÈ stool, with a frame in Japanese KUSUNOKI/KUSU (camphor) wood and upholstered seat in 6 different heights (cm 43,48,53,58,63, and 68 new height).

Originally from Miyazaki, on the island of Kyushu, where it is considered to be a sacred tree and is planted in many sanctuaries to ward off bad spirits, camphor wood is distinguished by its typical scent and contributes to regenerating forests in Japan. Multi-functional, light, and ergonomic,

Coupè represents the ideal seating solution for the kitchen, study, bathroom, bar, and living area. The new version of the stool combines a soft upholstered seat – offered in many colourful fabrics and natural leather – with a frame in painted camphor wood in six different lacquered colours: ON_oil finish, CL MUGI (barley), TK_MISO, WO_KOME (rice), CG_SOBA, CB_KUROGOMA (black sesame).

Nagano Interior's exhibition at Salone del Mobile.Milano will be further completed by various seating models, stools, tables, and coat hangers, all rigorously in wood, eco-friendly, and destined to last in time.
