A Sioux Falls woman has filed a class-action lawsuit against Furniture Mart, alleging that the company failed to protect customer data following a security breach. Christine Logan claims her personal information was compromised, along with that of more than 9,700 other customers.

Furniture Mart reported the breach to the Main Attorney General's Office, stating that it detected "suspicious activity" in its system on 3 November 2024. A subsequent investigation confirmed on 2 December that an "unknown actor" had accessed and copied customer records.
Logan seeks class-action status on behalf of all affected customers, arguing that the company did not implement adequate security measures to prevent the breach.
