Outdoors as a living space
The garden is increasingly becoming a second living room, a trend that strongly influences modern garden collections. Whether on the terrace or balcony, garden furniture convinces with inviting designs, round shapes, soft cushions and materials that offer a pleasant feeling. Warm, muted colours and handmade flower pots create a cosy atmosphere. Retro awnings provide mood lighting and dimmable outdoor lamps add charming accents to outdoor living.

Timelessly modern
The demand for garden furniture focuses on reliability, both in the materials used and in the design. It is all about waterproof materials and timeless designs that offer a long life for the modern garden. Furniture is characterised by clear shapes and ergonomic lines, while natural materials such as wood, leather and concrete enhance the design. Sustainable solutions not only contribute to outdoor comfort but also help conserve resources.

Elegant lightness
In a time of challenges, a relaxed and carefree life in the garden is more than welcome. Today's garden furniture exudes a filigree lightness that looks both natural and elegant. Thin lines and organic shapes come together in earth tones and soft, subdued colours. Discreet shades of red and accessories in the 2025 Pantone colour "mocha mousse" reflect the desire for harmony. There is also a clear preference for a relaxed Mediterranean atmosphere and the calm simplicity of Scandinavian design.

Green design
Sustainability is an important theme in today's and tomorrow's garden designs. By using modern climate tools, the carbon footprint of garden furniture is reduced. Recycled plastic, aluminium and materials such as wood and bamboo from certified production contribute to responsible forest management and sustainable production. This ensures a harmonious combination of aesthetics and environmental friendliness in garden furniture.

Design options for the garden
The garden now offers more opportunities than ever to be creative. From modular dining sets to elegant benches on the terrace and space-saving stackable tables and chairs, garden furniture adapts flexibly to different needs and occasions. Multifunctional furniture and creative design concepts such as Blackbox Gardening turn the garden into a versatile place to relax and spend time.

With comfortable, timeless designs, durable materials and a light, versatile look, these trends are defining the design of today's and tomorrow's outdoor spaces. At spoga+gafa 2025, international exhibitors will show which themes and trends will influence the gardens of the future. The theme "Design Gardens" offers an exciting outlook on the future of garden life.
