Furniture manufacturer back in Danish hands

KA Interiør A/S, manufacturers of custom-made cabinets, has been back in Danish hands since 1 January 2025. The company, it has only now been announced, has been acquired by the Danish Dansani Group. The acquisition means stability and a clear strategic direction for KA Interiør, which can now concentrate on core customers in Scandinavia,

Difficult market conditions lead to financial difficulties
In recent years, market conditions in Germany for the kitchen and furniture industry have led to significant financial difficulties for KA Interiør's German parent company and several of its sister companies. It has not been possible to maintain a sustainable business model within the previous group structure. This led to the sale of several sister companies in 2025, and KA Interiør is part of this restructuring.

KA Interiør closed 2024 with a loss, mainly caused by extraordinary restructuring costs and significant investments in expanding into markets outside the Nordic region. With a new financial strategy and a clear focus on core customers in the Nordic markets, a more positive and stable development is expected.

Positive development in the Nordic region
With the new owner, KA Interiør will focus more on cooperation with Nordic customers, where the company is experiencing an increasing market share and a positive development in the inflow of new customers.

The new products, launched specifically for the Nordic market in late 2024, have been well received. This confirms that the company's product strategy and development are on the right track. The future strategy is aimed at further strengthening the position together with customers in the Nordic region. This includes investments in product and range development, as well as a greater focus on sustainability in products and production. KA Interiør has already taken the first steps in this direction and expects to launch further innovative solutions in 2025 that will strengthen the competitive position of customers.

Optimism for the future
'We are optimistic about 2025. With the reduction of our operations outside the Nordic region, the financial measures implemented and the new Danish ownership structure, the foundations have been laid for a financially stable and growth-oriented future,' says CEO Kristian Bonde. 'The new ownership situation under Dansani Group means not only a financial strengthening, but also a collaboration between two companies that have a deep knowledge of the interior design market and share a vision to create value for our customers through innovation and quality.'
