Home décor vendors to raise prices due to tariffs and rising costs

Several home décor vendors are planning price increases due to recent tariffs and other economic factors. Companies including DW Silks, Kavana Décor, Accent Décor, HiEnd Accents, and Napa Home & Garden have informed their customers about price adjustments necessary to manage the costs imposed by tariffs on imports from China and elsewhere.

DW Silks has announced a price increase of between 5% and 15%, effective after April 4, 2025. Similarly, Accent Décor raised prices by an average of 8% starting March 17. In an email, Sarah Bagle, president of Accent Décor, explained that the company could no longer absorb the costs of tariffs while maintaining their product quality and design standards.

Kavana Décor, while aiming to limit price hikes, acknowledged that some of its products would be affected by the tariffs, with new prices to take effect on April 7. HiEnd Accents, which last raised prices four years ago, will implement a targeted increase starting March 31, covering raw materials, labour, and global supply chain costs.

Napa Home & Garden encouraged customers to place orders by March 16 to lock in pre-tariff pricing, with certain products set to increase in price by March 17.

These price increases reflect the ongoing challenges faced by vendors due to global supply chain disruptions and evolving trade policies.
