According to the latest BDO High Street Sales Tracker, homewares total LFLs declined by -17.92%, following a negative base of -14.12% for the same week in 2024. Store homewares sales dropped by -22.37% from a positive base of +10.28% last year.

BDO reported that 'retail sales in brick-and-mortar venues dropped across all retail segments,' though this week's results were compared to stronger figures from the previous year. While total non-store LFL sales saw a modest growth of +3.26%, it was not enough to offset overall declines.

Despite "calm and dry conditions" and a rise in footfall by +1.0%, high street sales struggled, with shopping centres seeing a decline of -3.1%.
