A bespoke cabinetry business has reported a record year of trading, with sales increasing by over 20 per cent in 2024. The company completed an unprecedented number of handcrafted projects in high-end properties across the East Midlands, London and the South West.
Following this success, Collyer & Co has announced a strategic shift, prioritising collaborations with architects and interior designers while continuing to take on work through client recommendations. Managing director Steve Collyer stated that 'more than 60 per cent of our business came from collaborative working with architects and interior designers in 2024,' and the company expects further growth in this area. He added, 'We find that working with creative professionals as part of a team to realise the homeowner's ideal living spaces suits our ethos – using our craftsmanship to provide the highest quality product and solution for the customer and not settle for an "it will do" approach.'
To support this transition, Collyer & Co has partnered with digital marketing and PR agency Tank and brand communications agency Warbox. These firms will oversee a brand repositioning, website refresh and SEO strategy, leveraging the company's strong reputation in the architectural and interior design sectors.
Established in 2019 following the acquisition of Preston Bissett, Collyer & Co has grown rapidly, distinguishing itself through a consultative approach to bespoke cabinetry. Instead of adopting a traditional showroom and sales staff model, the company has invested heavily in its Nottingham-based workshop and skilled team.
Reflecting on the decision to work with new agencies, Collyer said, 'We selected Tank and Warbox to assist us in our repositioning, as Trevor the owner and members of his team have a clear passion for interior design and a valuable understanding of the premium end of the market.'
