Dutch designer Annebet Philips designs "Lucky Seat" for iconic Parisian bistro chair brand

Dutch designer Annebet Philips designs "Lucky Seat" for iconic Parisian bistro chair brand Maison Drucker Who doesn't know them? The timeless Parisian bistro chairs that grace terraces all around the world. Maison Louis Drucker, the original French rattan chair maker since 1885, has joined forces with Dutch designer Annebet Philips, known for her bold and expressive designs. Together, they present the Lucky Seat, an optimistic bistro chair with a playful twist: a four-leaf clover-shaped backrest.

An unexpected fusion of bold design and traditional craftsmanship
The Lucky seat is more than just a chair. It's a daring blend of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design. The iconic bistro chair brand Maison Drucker and Annebet Philips' distinctive signature found common ground in their passion for shape and colour, as well as in the endless possibilities of rattan. The result? An elegant yet striking bistro chair that combines the rich tradition of artisanal craftsmanship with a modern silhouette. Each chair is handcrafted according to Drucker's time-honoured techniques, infused with Philips' characteristic shapes and vibrant use of colour.

A symbol of luck and optimism
The backrest in the shape of a four-leaf clover is no coincidence. For centuries, it has been a global symbol of luck, harmony, and hope. Its fresh, cartoon-like translation into a chair not only creates a surprising and recognisable image but also reflects the spirit of the times—a shared longing for optimism and connection in today's world. The name Lucky Seat refers to the term used for the "winning seat" in a lottery or arena, a subtle reminder of the randomness of luck and how much it depends on where your place happens to be in the world.

Character and possibilities
The Lucky Seat is fully customisable, available in a wide range of colours and weaving patterns. Crafted with a durable aluminium frame, the chair is designed for both indoor and outdoor use and is stackable for optimal convenience.
