Casa France has applied for judicial reorganisation in an effort to protect itself from creditors and explore potential takeover opportunities. The move follows the recent bankruptcy of the Belgian branch, which managed logistics, IT, and financial services for the entire group.
Although the Belgian branch was a separate entity, its collapse has left Casa France and other international operations without critical infrastructure. Without a swift acquisition, the future of Casa's 143 French stores and approximately 600 jobs remains uncertain.
According to French media outlet LSA, several companies in the distribution sector have already expressed interest in acquiring parts of the French store network. Judicial administrators will soon be appointed to work alongside management in finding a solution to preserve as many stores and jobs as possible.
