Rossi di Albizzate, a distinguished Italian brand known for its bespoke furniture, will showcase its heritage and innovation at Milan Design Week 2025. The exhibition, running from April 7th to 13th at the company's showroom on Via Sforza 4, will highlight a curated selection of its most iconic pieces, reinterpreted for contemporary spaces. This initiative is part of a broader project aimed at reviving Rossi di Albizzate's historic collections, reaffirming its unique ability to blend tradition and modernity.
The company remains dedicated to producing high-quality, uniquely designed furniture that defines and transforms spaces, seamlessly integrating functionality and aesthetic appeal.
Among the standout pieces is the Cinzia armchair, originally designed by Giuseppe Rossi in the 1950s. This classic piece returns in a reedition that preserves its original charm while incorporating new upholstery fabrics produced by Rossi di Albizzate's historic weaving mills. 'Bold lines, vibrant colours, and ergonomics crafted for maximum comfort define this new interpretation, where history and contemporaneity are blended in a perfect balance,' the company states.
The exhibition will also feature the Bogo modular system, a 1970s creation by the esteemed designer Carlo Bartoli. Comprising 300 modular elements, Bogo allows for custom solutions adaptable to both compact and expansive spaces. Bartoli's vision redefines the traditional sofa with a contemporary, minimalist approach, where 'the cushions are fully detachable from the structure thanks to zippers, making the sofa customisable and exclusive,' according to Rossi di Albizzate. The use of premium materials, such as plywood, enhances its sculptural quality, offering a perfect blend of form and function.
Rossi di Albizzate's participation in Milan Design Week 2025 underscores its commitment to design excellence, with its showroom transforming into a hub for design discussions, industry professionals, and enthusiasts. A series of engaging talks and events will further enrich the exhibition, providing a platform for dialogue between leading figures in the design world.
The programme includes:
- TALK | Project Insight with Prof. Fabio di Bartolomei on April 8th at 6:30 PM
- TALK | Creative Vision featuring Rossi di Albizzate in conversation with architect Simone Micheli on April 10th at 6:00 PM
