A leading carpet manufacturer has recorded another year of revenue and profit growth, despite economic challenges.
For the year ending 28 September 2024, total sales increased by 4.4% to £73.3m, following a 16.8% rise from £60.1m in 2022 to £70.2m in 2023. Pre-tax profit rose to £6.2m, up from £4.7m the previous year, while EBITDA stood at £10.6m, down from £11.2m.
Brintons, the company behind these results, stated that revenue growth continued as global markets recovered. However, earnings were affected by a weaker US dollar and rising labour costs across Europe.
Despite these pressures, the company noted that a reduction in energy and material costs in the second half of the year is expected to strengthen margins moving forward.
