Beaulieu joins EMF

Beaulieu International Group (B.I.G.) has joined the Ellen MacArthur Foundation (EMF), an international organisation that aims to accelerate the transition to a circular economy. The EMF is active in diverse sectors and opens doors to innovative collaborations-an ideal partner for B.I.G's diverse product range.

A shared vision for a sustainable future
'Joining the Foundation required a thorough evaluation of our ambitions and the way we want to realise them,; says Sofie Paelinck, Manager Circular Economy at B.I.G. Their vision fits seamlessly with our purpose: 'Shaping sustainable living, together', which made this partnership a logical next step for us.'

The partnership will give B.I.G. access to the EMF's specialised network, which spans sectors such as construction, textiles, food, food packaging, finance and plastics. In addition, the Foundation offers insights into key topics such as climate, marketing, measurement methods, design, policy and supply chain innovation. 'There is considerable overlap with the sectors in which B.I.G. operates,' adds Sofie. 'We also get access to events and a network focused on the circular economy. These are not only initiatives that stimulate growth, but also initiate concrete action and provide space for new collaborations with like-minded companies.'

Who is Ellen MacArthur?
Dame Ellen MacArthur is a long-distance sailor and Commander of the Order of the British Empire. Her travels around the world made her realise how limited our natural resources are, and thus the need to manage them sustainably. In 2009, she partnered with executives, experts, scientists and economists to rethink the global economy, which eventually led to the creation of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. The Foundation's mission revolves around decoupling economic growth from the constant pressure on our resources, and restoring the natural balance.
