French luxury brands launch in New York showroom

Two luxury brands from France have debuted in a new showroom in New York City, aiming to expand their presence in the U.S. market. The brands offer bespoke, high-quality products crafted in France, catering to a niche audience seeking unique and elegant designs.

Tréca Paris, a bespoke bed brand, is known for its personalised sleeping systems, including mattresses, toppers, and bed bases, as well as upholstered headboards and frames. The company manufactures its own springs to ensure quality and collaborates with fabric companies such as Pierre Frey, Schumacher, Lesage, and Loro Piana. Bed prices range from around $15,000 to $150,000, with the average priced at £35,000–£40,000. Adjustments have been made to suit U.S. sizing, including producing a double king-size bed for one client. Upcoming initiatives include a collaboration with Chanel and the opening of a retail store in New York.

Also featured in the showroom is Maison Janneau, a French door and window company offering bespoke products. Unlike typical U.S. windows, Maison Janneau's French windows open inward, similar to those found in Parisian apartments. Each product is made to order, taking approximately six months to complete. Since entering the U.S. market two years ago, the company has established a central headquarters in Austin, Texas, targeting markets in California, Texas, and New York.

Both brands are part of Maison Bowery, a showroom celebrating French craftsmanship. The showroom's opening event took place on 27 March 2025, reflecting the brands' commitment to blending luxury and tradition while appealing to the U.S. market.
