Due to its characteristics, stainless steel is well suited to a parallel research between form and performance giving shape to the complete Hum tap collection, designed by Philippe Malouin, presented as a preview during the Milano Design Week 2025.
The story between QuadroDesign and Philippe Malouin began in 2024: one of the best-known names in the panorama of artists/designers, who established his practice right from the start with a simplicity that is far from ephemeral. Since 2008, when he founded his own studio in London, he has been guided by a multifaceted creative and out of the ordinary approach for materials and industrial design objects. Philippe is represented by Salon 94 Design gallery in New York City as well as The Breeder gallery in Athens. He has recently won the Wallpaper* Magazine "designer of the year" award.
For QuadroDesign, the British-Canadian designer experiments with stainless steel, elevating the material to a sculptural object, experimenting by looking beyond defined canons.
Hum is a range of bathroom and kitchen taps and accessories which strives for the simplest of aesthetics whilst retaining a sculptural aspect. Hum was created as 'a minimal functional sculpture' destined to be part of everyday life.'
Today the collection is completed by single-hole deck-mounted washbasin mixers available in different heights and multi-hole version, wall mounted washbasin with integrated spout and two- or three-hole washbasin unit, shower group, bathtub group and free-standing bathtub mixer, hand shower and shower head.
During the Milano Design Week the Flagship Store, Via Molino delle Armi, 14 (Milan) will be open from Tuesday 8th to Saturday 12th April, from 10:00am to 8:00pm.
