Home furnishings retailer closes another store in the UK

A home furnishings retailer has closed its store in Stafford as part of its ongoing changes to retail locations. The store, situated at Queens Shopping Park on Old Rickerscote Lane, officially ceased trading on 31 March 2025 after running a closing down sale.

Homesense, part of TJX International, which also owns TK Maxx, made the decision to shut the Stafford branch as part of a reorganisation plan. The premises will be replaced by a TK Maxx store currently located at Friary Green Retail Park.

Earlier this year, Homesense also closed its Salisbury store, situated on Churchill Way West, which shut on 27 January 2025.

The closure is part of a wider trend affecting the retailer's presence in the UK as it adapts its business model to better meet customer demand.
