The Chiquita House:

Chiquita returns to Milan Design Week with a vibrant, immersive experience

Chiquita is set to make a dynamic return to Milan Design Week 2025, once again opening the doors of The Chiquita House—an immersive and interactive space celebrating the second edition of the brand's acclaimed Pop by Nature campaign. Taking place as part of the Fuorisalone event, this year's Chiquita House will offer an engaging and visually striking experience that brings the essence of pop art to life.

This year, the campaign is created in collaboration with internationally renowned Argentine artist and illustrator Sebastian Curi, whose signature bold and distinctive style transforms the iconic Chiquita banana into a true pop icon. His playful, energetic illustrations reimagine everyday moments, infusing them with a fresh and vibrant perspective.

Inside the Chiquita House, visitors will be transported into a world of interactive art and design, with multiple spaces designed to engage and inspire. The first room brings Sebastian Curi's illustrations to life, allowing visitors to physically interact with the campaign's playful characters. This space explores the everyday connection between people and nature through the joy of Chiquita bananas—the ultimate pop fruit. Guests will become part of the artwork itself, adding their own creative touches and capturing stunning, surreal photo moments filled with Chiquita's signature tropical energy.

'After the success of last year's Chiquita House, we're thrilled to return to Milan Design Week 2025 with an even more exciting and immersive experience,' said Mariaelena Paragone, Head of Global Brand Building Strategy at Chiquita. 'With this second edition, we're taking the Pop by Nature campaign to new heights, collaborating with Sebastian Curi to create an interactive space where colour, energy and design come together to celebrate the iconic nature of Chiquita in a completely unexpected way.'

Visitors can also have fun at the Chiquita Surprise Booth and get exclusive branded gifts. In the second area, innovation takes centre stage with a motion-sensing installation powered by Kinect® technology, where visitors can transform into a digital Chiquita banana avatar and see their movements mirrored in real-time—blending tech, entertainment, and creativity in a whole new way. A special arcade-style Sticker Generator will allow guests to personalise a unique, AI-powered, pop-art-inspired Chiquita sticker and print it to take home.

Beyond art and technology, the Chiquita House will also spotlight the brand's dedication to sustainability. A dedicated space will showcase the Yelloway innovation partnership, a joint venture aimed at researching and developing a disease-resistant banana while also reducing carbon emissions—marking a major step toward a more sustainable and resilient future for agriculture.

By merging art, technology and sustainability, Chiquita continues to push creative boundaries, making Milan Design Week 2025 and Fuorisalone an unforgettable experience for pop-art lovers, brand fans and curious visitors alike.
