Velux has announced the appointment of Raffaella Berardo as the new Group President for Region Southwest, covering Belgium, France, the Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, and Spain. She will officially join the Velux Group on 1 June 2025.
Berardo, who has almost 30 years of experience in leadership roles across multinational companies, comes from her position as Managing Director for Miele in Belgium and Luxembourg. Her background includes significant experience in marketing, sales, and strategic development within both B2B and B2C sectors.
She succeeds André Dot, who is stepping down after five years in the role. Berardo expressed enthusiasm for the new position, stating she is 'inspired by Velux's mission to bring daylight and fresh air into people's lives' and aims to enhance the company's customer value by focusing on sustainability, innovation, and strategic partnerships.
Velux Group CEO Lars Petersson expressed confidence in Berardo's ability to drive success, citing her experience in family-owned businesses and her strong track record in fostering organisational culture and commercial growth.
The Velux Group, known for its roof windows and modules made of polyurethane and wood, operates in 37 countries and employs approximately 12,000 people worldwide. The group is part of VKR Holding A/S, owned by the Villum Foundation and members of the Kann Rasmussen family.
Berardo will join the company's Executive Group Management and focus on strengthening Velux's position and market share in the Region Southwest.
