A first peak into the fair!
A city transformed by design
This year's edition, themed "Thought for Humans," extends beyond the halls of the fairgrounds to integrate with the city itself. With 49 LED walls spread across Milan and 320 posters in the underground stations, the cityscape will become a living, breathing tribute to innovative design. Additionally, 38 screens at Malpensa and Linate airports and over 100 illuminated exhibitor showrooms will complete the urban design experience.
What to expect at Salone del Mobile.Milano 2025?
Art meets design at Vernissage The festivities kicked off with Vernissage, a striking open-air photographic exhibition in Via Dante, which runs until April 15. American photographer Bill Durgin's captivating images explore the connection between the human body and design, using sustainable materials such as wood, metal, fabric, and bioplastic to highlight the intersection of creativity and function.
Interactive design experiences In addition to visual displays, the Design Kiosk in Piazza della Scala will host daily conversations with leading designers, including Piero Lissoni, Federica Biasi, Aldo Cibic, and Stephen Burks. Visitors can expect engaging discussions on design's role in modern society, accompanied by a curated collection of books and design objects.
The immersive installation "Mother" by Robert Wilson will debut on April 6 at the Museo della Pietà Rondanini, offering a reflective journey through light, shadow, and sound. From April 7, Es Devlin's "Library of Light" at the Pinacoteca di Brera will invite visitors to explore a living library surrounded by more than 2,000 books donated by Feltrinelli.
