Moooi, the innovative lifestyle brand known for pushing the boundaries of interior storytelling, is set to make a lasting impression at Milan Design Week 2025. Taking over multiple locations throughout Milan, Moooi will showcase its imaginative designs and introduce new creative collaborations, marking a major milestone with the opening of a permanent store in Milan at Via Filippo Turati 2.
Marcel Wanders, Co-founder of Moooi, stated, 'At Moooi, we don't just create objects – we create experiences that surprise, delight and transform spaces into something extraordinary. With our new store in Milan and a bold presence at Salone del Mobile, we are embracing a new era for Moooi, one where imagination and innovation meet in unexpected ways.'
This year, Moooi will also take part in the prestigious Salone del Mobile Fair at Hall 22, Stand A08-B07, unveiling new designs that challenge conventional interior aesthetics. One such highlight is the new Haybale Lounge Chair with Footstool by Nicholas Baker, inspired by rural nostalgia and featuring a modular, sculptural design.
Andrés Reisinger, an internationally acclaimed creative, will present a unique installation at the new Moooi Store Milan, while artwork from Ada Sokół and sculptures by Antoine Peters will be displayed across Moooi's locations throughout the city.
A major highlight of the exhibition will be the introduction of the Beta Living Pebble, an innovative lighting concept that transforms static light into a fluid, living presence. 'Living Pebble makes light fluid, responsive and alive,' stated the brand, emphasising its commitment to blending functionality with artistic expression.
Further enriching Moooi's showcase are new fabric and carpet collections, including the Extinct Animal Fabric Collection, which combines nature-inspired weaves, and the Boucle Fabric Collection, renowned for its tactile and durable wool blends. The Timber Tones Collection by Sjoerd Vroonland and the Organic Sequences Collection by Jana Kleine-Kalmer will also be presented, bringing organic patterns and natural motifs to modern interiors.
Moooi also announced a leadership transition, welcoming Anders Westerholm as the new CEO, effective from 1 September 2025. Robin Bevers, the outgoing CEO, will continue with the brand until the end of the year, ensuring a smooth transition before taking on an ambassadorial role. Westerholm expressed his enthusiasm, saying, 'It's an incredible honour to step into the role of CEO at Moooi, a company that dares to dream and disrupt. I'm inspired by Moooi's bold creativity and global reach, and I look forward to working with this exceptional team to write the next chapter – building a bridge between creative luxury and responsible design.'
