Geberit UK has announced that its managing director, Mark Larden, will retire on 30 September 2025. Andy Lever, currently national sales director for projects, will assume the role from 1 July, allowing for a three-month handover period.
Larden joined Geberit in 2000 and became managing director for the UK and Ireland in 2008. Under his leadership, the business grew into a £100 million operation, employing over 150 people. He played a key role in establishing Geberit's presence in the UK, transforming it from a virtually unknown brand in 1999 into a market leader in concealed cisterns, pressing technology, and shower toilets.
A notable achievement during his tenure was the integration of Twyford into the Geberit business, following the acquisition of Sanitec in 2015. Larden described the process as a long-term focus that resulted in a "unified, high-performing business".
Reflecting on his time at the company, Larden highlighted the culture and team spirit as defining aspects of his career, stating that it "felt like stepping into a family". He noted that he would miss the people most, describing them as "talented, dedicated, and genuine".
Larden expressed full confidence in his successor, stating that the company "couldn't have chosen a better person to take the reins". Lever, who has been with Geberit for nearly 15 years, is described as knowledgeable, respected, and well-liked by colleagues and customers alike.
