At Germany's leading trade fair M.O.W., furniture manufacturer Wimex will launch SCHRANKZEIT, a new flat-pack cabinet system designed to redefine specialist retail. Presented as an independent brand outside Wimex's existing portfolio, SCHRANKZEIT bridges the gap between traditional assembled furniture and ready-to-take-away solutions.

Launching in autumn 2025, the new line introduces hinged and sliding door cabinets that combine high quality with fast delivery and minimal assembly effort. Based in Georgsmarienhütte, Wimex has long been recognised as a leader in flat-pack furniture. Managing Director Ulrich Börger explained the reasoning behind this new direction: 'Until now, end customers have always been faced with a fundamental decision: either a high-priced cabinet from a specialist retailer with complex assembly – or a flat-pack cabinet with compromises in terms of variety, quality and comfort. "SCHRANKZEIT powered by Wimex" closes this gap and thus breaks completely new ground.'
The system is designed to be available immediately in-store, but can also be delivered as a service product at the customer's request. Börger emphasised its speed and practicality: 'On the one hand, the delivery time for SCHRANKZEIT is particularly short. On the other hand, SCHRANKZEIT is delivered with a pre-assembled base, three pre-assembled all-metal fittings per side and continuous sliding doors, which drastically reduces the assembly time.'
For customers who prefer to assemble their cabinets themselves, SCHRANKZEIT offers flexibility and durability. The system features a highly adaptable 25 and 5 grid for hinged doors, end and compensation strips to fit different room sizes, a stable 4 mm back panel, soft-close hinges, continuous handle bars and the refined Kaschmir interior décor.
By combining retail efficiency with premium specifications, SCHRANKZEIT allows end users to benefit from tailor-made quality while reducing complexity. For specialist retail partners, the product represents a high-quality, German-made solution with appealing features and faster installation.
