Kingfisher has reported a modest 1.3% like-for-like revenue increase to £6.81 billion (€7.8 billion) for the first half of 2025, driven largely by strong UK performance from B&Q (+4.4%) and Screwfix (+3.0%).

In France, Castorama posted £1,074 million (€1.23 billion), down 1.4% on a comparable basis. Performance improved in Q2, stabilising after a weaker start to the year. The CastoPro programme for professional customers has gained traction, with professional sales reaching 3.1% of total revenue. Online sales also rose by 32.7%, supported by a growing marketplace presence.
Brico Dépôt faced a tougher environment, with turnover of £974 million (€1.12 billion), down 2.9% on a like-for-like basis. The hot summer affected the construction and joinery categories, though project-oriented ranges and professional-focused initiatives helped mitigate losses. Professional sales penetration rose to 12.1% in H1 2025.
Kingfisher's medium-term plan aims to modernise around a third of Castorama stores and improve margins to 5–7% in France. Operational progress in store revitalisation and surface optimisation has shown encouraging results, with some locations seeing double-digit sales density growth after reopening. The group remains optimistic about the French market despite challenging conditions.
