At the upcoming Furniture Fair Brussels, RC Furniture Group will present itself under a new name for the first time. The company, known for years as Recor Group, will be in Hall 5 and Hall 6, where it will present numerous product innovations as well as strategic collaborations. We spoke to Adrien Corthouts, CEO of RC Furniture Group and the third generation at the helm of the family business.

What is the reason for the name change from Recor Group to RC Furniture Group? Adrien Corthouts: "For us, the rebranding to RC Furniture Group is much more than a new name and a new logo, it is a way of honouring our family roots and at the same time strengthening our ambition as an international multi-brand furniture group.
The name RC Furniture Group carries two stories. RC refers to my grandfather René Corthouts, who founded the company in 1949. With Furniture Group, we emphasise our multi-brand approach: each brand has its own identity, positioning and expertise - from beds and sofa beds to sofas and recliners. This allows us to appeal to diverse target groups and market segments.
The new name also marks the next phase in our development. Thanks to the cooperation with Gealux and the expansion of an international sales team, we are better equipped to broaden our horizons. RC Furniture Group thus reflects not only our family roots, but also our ambition to grow further as an international furniture group."
You are moving to Hall 5 and Hall 6?
Adrien Corthouts: "Last edition we were in a nice location in Hall 4, but when we learned that a space became available Hall 5, near the main entrance, we did not hesitate. It is the ideal setting to highlight our brands Recor Seating, Belform. Gealux is also joining us there.
This year, Recor Bedding and Sofabed are moving into Hall 6, where everything revolves around sleeping comfort. It's the ideal place to display our collections in an environment where visitors come to discover in a focused way what the latest developments in sleeping have to offer."

What innovations can visitors expect to see?
Adrien Corthouts: "Each brand brings its own touches and innovations to Brussels.
At Recor Seating (hall 5 - stand 200), we are creating two living worlds. On the one hand, we evoke the atmosphere of a mansion, with models that have a modern-classic look and are equipped with innovative technologies. For example, we are introducing a new reclining mechanism developed exclusively for us by Thomas Buekers. This innovative mechanism allows us to create a sofa with a low back and a high open base for a contemporary look, without sacrificing comfort. The headrest, which is largely hidden, provides extra comfort as the neck and head receive separate support. The mechanism also has a tilt function that allows you to move the sofa to zero gravity position. In addition, the head and footrest can be extended further, making the seat optimally comfortable for people of different body lengths.
We are also now integrating the electric Smart bottom, which we previously introduced at Recor Bedding, into our lounges. This advanced system combines a massage function, a zero gravity setting, preset relaxation options and a memory function, introducing a new standard in seating comfort.
On the other hand, we present a modern loft style, with new modular sofas that perfectly complement previously launched models such as Simona and Alessia. No reclining function, but a distinct statement in form and design.
Belform (hall 5 - stand 200) is aimed at young families. Comfortable, practical and robust sofas with a fresh look. In addition to a number of recently introduced fast runners, we are showing three new developments that position Belform even more strongly in this segment."

"At Recor Bedding (hall 6 - stand 409), our Smart bottom takes centre stage. This unique comfort technology, exclusively distributed by Recor Bedding, has a massage function, pre-programmed sleeping positions, a memory function and a zero gravity setting. We will also showcase our Wave, Aura, Mybed and Infini mattresses, and a wide range of headboards
At Sofabed(Hall 6 - Stand 409), two much-loved models get a fresh update: the compact Emanti and the elegant Piccolina make their comeback in an updated version. We will also present Dexter and Vinnie, two new creations from our recently launched Advanced Comfort collection. Vario, the latest model in our Premium Comfort collection, also gets a prominent place. Finally, we complete the range with some bestsellers from our existing collections."
You also have two special partnerships that will have a place at the fair?
Adrien Corthouts: "This year, we are deliberately focusing on collaborations with added value for our partners and consumers.
At Recor Bedding, we are collaborating with ADDRest, a pioneer in space-saving solutions. The ADD Comfort Bed is a smart solution where a quality bed with a Recor Bedding mattress simply moves up and makes way for an integrated sofa or desk. We also present the ADD Motion Wall: movable walls that allow you to change the layout of a room in seconds. These innovations are ideal for urban environments where every square metre counts and fit seamlessly with our commitment to combining design, comfort and functionality."
